Our Story

KQIL Game Studio was founded in 2020 in Wuhan, China, by three friends who met at a local game jam. What started as weekend experiments with Unity soon turned into a full-fledged passion for crafting games that blend artistic vision with technical innovation.

Today, KQIL is a globally distributed team of 30+ developers, artists, writers, and designers across three countries. We've shipped 12 titles across PC, console, and mobile — reaching over 2 million players worldwide.

Our mission is simple: build games that respect players' time, intelligence, and emotions. Every project starts with a question — "Would we want to play this?" — and ends only when the answer is an unequivocal yes.

Core Values

The principles that guide every decision we make.

Player Respect

We never compromise on quality for speed. No predatory monetization, no half-finished launches. Players trust us, and we earn it every time.

Creative Boldness

We take risks on mechanics, art styles, and narratives that bigger studios can't. Innovation thrives in small, passionate teams.

Team First

Sustainable crunch-free development. We believe the best games come from healthy, happy developers who love what they do.

Global Mindset

Our team spans three continents. Our games are localized for 15+ languages. We design for a global audience from day one.

Iterate Relentlessly

Every mechanic is prototyped, playtested, and refined. We kill our darlings when they don't serve the player experience.

Long-Term Vision

We build games meant to last — titles players return to years later. No quick flips, no cash grabs. Just great games.
